Gulluk is a small harbour town to the north of the peninsula, on the Mandalya Bay. The harbour is the main focal point of the town and is located in the centre. It is fascinating to sit at one of the cafes next to the harbour and watch the hustle and bustle of the fishermen as they go about unloading their daily catch. There is a small ferryboat that crosses the bay to Iassos and an assortment of daily boat trips and fishing trips are also on offer. The harbour is flanked by traditional style restaurants, local shops and a few bars. There are some great sandy beaches which are easily accessible on foot and a few hidden coves and bays further afield. Gulluk is a great location for peace and quiet, yet Bodrum centre is easily accessible by local bus (dolmus). Bodrum International airport is only a 10-minute drive away.
