In 2016, Turkey announced its citizenship investment programme. The programme grants citizenship and a Turkish passport to applicants investing in real estate. The real estate route is very attractive for investors, and as of April 2022, requires a property purchase of a minimum of $400,000. The figure was originally set at $1 million, but was drastically reduced in September 2018. Your spouse and any children under the age of 18 are also granted Turkish citizenship.
