Bitez is one of the main citrus-growing areas on the peninsula. Situated on the south eastern side of the coast line, the area is surrounded by pretty mandarin, orange and lemon groves. The long sandy beach and shallow clean waters make it an ideal choice for families. Bitez is also favoured by water sports enthusiasts and there are windsurfing schools at the end of the beach. Bitez beach offers stress free relaxation away from the hustle and bustle. There are lots of friendly cafes and restaurants which line the promenade and offer a wide variety of traditional and international dining options. The old village of Bitez is 2 km inland and remains totally unspoilt by tourism.
